Nasalisation of Consonants

My Vocal Teacher mentioned that one possibility in the difference in singing techniques was that the Korean Language could have nasalised vowels. This could be the reason as to why many Korean Singers sang with a type of nasality to their voice.

I did some research on this topic and while there was no nasalised vowels for the Korean Language, there was a thing called Nasalisation of Korean Consonants.

Nasal assimilation, or nasalization, is a process to convert a consonant into one of a nasal  sound.

For example:  When you say thank you ( 감사합니다 ) in Korean, you say gam-sa-ham-ni-da. You do not say gam-sa-hab-ni-da, due to nasal assimilation.

This nasalisation happens frequently and many korean words actually are resonated nasally rather than the lower mouth region, therefore this could explain why most Koreans sing with a nasal tone.

I tested this out with the cover of TT that I did.
